Let's talk about evergreen trends! An evergreen trend is simply a motif that is always popular. 

 

Tapping into evergreen trends is important if you want to sell your work because you can count on these motifs to be marketable regardless of current hot trends that will come and go.

One of the most iconic evergreen trends is floral designs - they never go out of style! Some other top evergreen trends are tropical motifs, animals, and food.

 

But there are also evergreen trends within certain categories. For instance, pumpkins would be an evergreen trend under the umbrella of autumn-themed art.

This week's challenge is to draw a pineapple illustration or make a pineapple pattern. 

 

Why pineapples? They hit on two evergreen trend categories - tropical and food! Pineapples represent hospitality and they're also reminiscent of drinking a delicious piña colada on vacation! What's not to love? 

For some extra selling power, pair your pineapple illustrations with other tropical fruits to create collections with mass appeal!
