“August is the slow, gentle month that stretches out the longest across the span of a year. It yawns and lingers on with the light in its palms.”
— Victoria Erickson

Happy Thursday, friends. I'm so thankful for the relief from heat and humidity. It's a welcome change! August is one of my favorite months because the fields are ripening, and the landscape begins to take on autumnal hues. Summer days are numbered, so let's spend as much time as we can among the flowers.

This week at Bella, more perennials are arriving Friday, and you'll find new classes listed below. The needle-felting class is almost full already, so if you're interested but can't get in, email me and hopefully we can schedule a second session. (bellabotanicaboutique@gmail.com).

A couple reminders: if you have an August birthday and received this  newsletter but did not receive a separate August bday email in the last couple days, let me know! We want to celebrate your birthday by emailing you $10 to spend here at Bella, but we need to add you to the list.
Also - a reminder that we have new hours:
Thursday - Saturday 10-4
Sundays 11-4

Come visit soon - we'd love to see you again.
Blessings on the rest of your week -

Finally, by popular demand, we are offering a hypertufa workshop - twice! These rustic-looking containers appear to be heavy cement, but they are lightweight and perfect for planting succulents. Make one rectangular or one round container (or both for an extra $10). Projects will need to be left at Bella for about a week before they can be taken home. They will need an additional 2-3 weeks to cure and will be ready for planting next spring! Cost: $35 per person. Rain date will be the following day.
