A Time To Plant
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello Friends,

When God is growing us, He plants us in fertile ground. The watering and the sunshine come from HIm. He knows exactly what we need and will send others along our paths to assist us in our growth process. A dear friend once told me, ”You are not being buried. You are being planted”. This resonated with me as I had just began trying to see if I had a green thumb or not. I experienced first hand a plant appearing to have died, only to come back a couple of days later and see a new baby spring up above the dirt. What appeared to be dead, was actually alive. The growth was occurring in the dirt unseen to the human eye. But God! Life was there buried underneath the soil, growing, and stretching its way to the surface.

On many occasions I have seen this happen and have rejoiced for the waiting process which brought forth new life. Don‘t be so quick to think something is impossible or a person will never change. Trust God to do the work and know that He is working it out even in the darkness, the dirt, and the quiet times in your life. Let us grow together, while trusting the process of God.

In Scripture, we learn about the Valley of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37:1-10). God spoke to Ezekiel and told him to prophesy to a valley of dry bones that they would live.  Being obedient, Ezekiel did just that and with each instruction, Ezekiel obeyed God and those dry bones came to life. This is the God we serve. He has ALL power in His hands. Our God speaks life and whatever is dead, obeys Him and comes to life. He speaks to the darkness and the light appears. Whatever your situation is that you are facing, no matter how bad it may seem, believe that God is more than able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could ever ask for or imagine.

May God Bless You and Keep You,

  • Have you given up on anything or anyone in your life?
  • What dreams do you have that are beginning to fade away?
  • Are there times in your life where you feel like you will never get over the hump?
If any of these three apply to you, join me in reading and meditating on these scriptures.

“A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ” So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37‬:‭1‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
