Hello, First name / my friend! Happy August! I hope you're hanging in there. I spent a week wandering up and down the coast of New England and everywhere I went, I kept running into bookish memories. Here's a peek! |

Top row, left to right: 1. The real life inspo for Talbott's Cove 2. My husband pointed out Hussey's Sound bc he believed it to be relevant to my interests. It is. Right up there with Great Hog Island and Pumpkin Knob. If I wrote any of those things it would be reviewed as over the top 🫠3. This sign would 100% be found at Little Star Creamery Middle row, left to right: 4. Pirate Pride flag. No notes other than I want one for my house. 5. There's so much jam in Maine that I could fill an entire carousel with the jam pics I took. These were the most Noahish. 6. Like Whitney said, it's always right when they play "Into the Mystic" Bottom row, left to right: 7. It was pouring rain and but something compelled me to stop and look around, and I saw this sign and could hear Shannon Walsh in my head all over again. 8. You can't go to Maine without getting shucked from every direction. 9. This view always makes me think of Matt and Lauren's wedding which of course brings me back to the first Walsh couple I met and the first to get married, Nick and Erin. |

My Recent Recommendations: The Great Dating Fake Off by Livy Hart. If it isn't obvious by now, I love books set at/around weddings, especially destination weddings where there are two fake dating situations in play. I gobbled up this book. It's so fun and funny, and such a joy of pining and holding it together for the wedding weekend but everything still falls apart anyway. This book delivers big banter, gorgeous steam, and the best shenanigans. You'll love this one. Bananapants by Penny Reid. I have a soft spot for a heist romance done right, especially when it's just outrageous enough to be totally unbelievable but also oddly realistic, and Penny Reid's newest release, in true witty, whimsical Penny fashion, has done that. But I have an even softer spot for childhood best friends-to-strangers-to lovers. Bonus for all kinds of mental health rep. Passenger Princess by Morgan Elizabeth. Bodyguard romances are the best. Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner ruined us in this way and we've never recovered. This steamy romance packs in all kinds of grumpy/sunshine squabbling, a 50-state road trip, and a whole lot of heat. Available in KU. The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce. This one is waiting for me but I already know it's going to be a favorite of the year. I read Jessica's debut novel, You, With a View on audio last summer (outstanding) and I know this one--featuring exes with shared custody of a best friend who is getting married but everything keeps going wrong and they're thrown back together over and over--will be another delight. |

Typos and broken links happen. It's okay. The earth is very hot and fragile, and so are we. |
