Hey First name / There,
August is here and I am very behind. My husband and I took a land/cruise trip to Alaska for 12 days. The beauty is hard to describe. The pictures we took do not do it justice. This was also my first cruise, and I enjoyed it. It's always good to be back home, especially to see the grandchildren. We have had a good amount of rain so there are lots of weeds to take care of and the garden is producing lots of tomatoes, and we have green beans. We were lucky that my parents could take care of things while we were away.
Speaking of the garden, I have included a recipe with tomatoes and corn. The
Marinated BLT'S are so good! What is a summer meal without garden tomatoes and bacon? The
Creamed Corn with Bacon (yes more bacon) and Leeks is a delicious side for anything you grill up. I was thinking of going back to school and Rice Krispy Treats came to my mind. The
Salted Brown Butter is a step up in flavor you will love! Everyone seems to love CRUMBL cookies. I have only had them one time, and they are huge and big enough to share with a few friends. The copycat
Snickerdoodle cookie does the trick. They were a big hit with my family.
