Estudio ACME en el MAZ

Queridxs amigxs, colegas y colaboradxrs,

 

Nos da mucho gusto compartirles que tendremos la primera edición de Estudio ACME en Jalisco, en el Museo de Arte de Zapopan (MAZ), del 25 de septiembre al 13 de octubre. Presentaremos un programa con exposiciones, celebraciones y distintas cosas pasando.

 

Esta colaboración con el MAZ nos permite explorar otros formatos de exhibición, junto a una institución pública de enorme prestigio. Es una manera de ampliar el apoyo que damos a artistas, curadorxs, coleccionistas emergentes y al museo mismo.

 

Estudio ACME, brazo itinerante de Salón ACME, estará formado por tres secciones: Patios, Foro y Gran Salón. Contará con la participación de cerca de 200 artistas y el apoyo de un Consejo Artístico local. 

 

Además, Estudio ACME en el MAZ coincide con la inauguración del nuevo edificio EstaciónMAZ, con la apertura de la exposición "Juegos de niñxs" del artista belga-mexicano Francis Alÿs y con Estación Material Vol. 3 en la sede Plataforma en Guadalajara. Todos estos esfuerzos realizados en conjunto, para convocar y recibir a una gran red de invitadxs especiales, curadorxs, galeristas y coleccionistas a nivel internacional.

 

Esta invitación representa no solo un gran logro para Salón ACME, sino una oportunidad muy emocionante de dar un giro y encontrar otras maneras de tomar el espacio, convocar artistas, mostrar su trabajo y generar encuentros e intercambios interesantes.

Estudio ACME at MAZ.

 

Dear friends, colleagues, and collaborators,

 

We are thrilled to share that we will be hosting the first edition of Estudio ACME in Jalisco, at the Museo de Arte de Zapopan (MAZ), from September 25th to October 13th. We will present a program with exhibitions, celebrations, and various other activities.

 

This collaboration with MAZ allows us to explore different exhibition formats alongside a highly prestigious public institution. It is a way to extend the support we provide to artists, curators, emerging collectors, and the museum itself.

 

Estudio ACME, the itinerant branch of Salón ACME, will consist of three sections: Patios, Foro, and Gran Salón. It will feature the participation of nearly 200 artists and will be supported by a local Artistic Council.

 

Additionally, Estudio ACME at MAZ coincides with the opening of the new EstaciónMAZ building, the inauguration of the exhibition "Juegos de niñxs" by Belgian-Mexican artist Francis Alÿs, and with Estación Material Vol. 3 at the Plataforma venue in Guadalajara. All these efforts are made in unison to gather and welcome a large network of special guests, curators, gallerists, and collectors at an international level.

 

This invitation represents not only a great achievement for Salón ACME but also a very exciting opportunity to take a new direction and explore other ways of occupying space, bringing artists together, showcasing their work, and fostering interesting encounters and exchanges.
