This week we are studying the pride cycle.

What is the difference between pride and humility?  How does Jesus Christ help you be more humble and less prideful?

In Helaman 4 we learn the difference between deserting from Christ and building on Christ.  Deserting from Christ begins like this:

Pride

Oppression to the poor

Mocking the sacred

Denying revelation

Breaking commandments

Contention

How can you avoid those things?

There is great importance in understanding the pride cycle.  It includes elements of prosperity, pride, the fall, and repentance.  But there are also elements of this cycle that can be really instructive.  In Helaman 4 we learn the difference between deserting from Christ and building on Christ.  This process includes:

Breaking commandments

Contention
