First name / Hey garden girlie, I have a huge announcement to share with you, but before I get there, I’m sharing something personal today. It’s a memory of my grandfather.

pappaw & nat 2003
He was teaching a Wednesday evening Bible class. In his older years, he taught from a stool with a portable podium. I can picture him sitting there, clear as day, leaning forward, folded hands resting on top of his Bible.

I couldn’t tell you what the Bible class was about, but I can tell you what he said. It’s stuck with me more than a decade later.

“If you only spend time in your Bible during Sunday and Wednesday church services, then you’re sorely missing out on a treasure trove of Scripture.”

His words made a big impact on me. In fact, that day my spiritual maturity increased a little bit more.

That’s when I decided I would be more than a Bible reader. I would become a Bible student.

That was one of the first defining moments in my young spiritual life that motivated me to refine my spiritual habits and practices. Over the years, I’ve had similar moments like these, when I feel the strong urge to be more diligent in my habits; to read more, to pray more, to study more, to serve more.

First name / Sister, we should be desiring more with the Lord. When we realize just how precious He is and just how generous He’s been to us, how can we resist wanting Him more?

Spending time with our Creator will help us be more effective as sowers of seed for the kingdom of God. And we can make a BIG impact on the kingdom of God as Christlike women.

Isn’t it such a gift to be a woman of God? He has divinely designed us with special skills.

We put the heartbeat in our homes.
We bring tender touches to our relationships.
We care for our families with gentle strength.
We make this world a beautiful place with our feminine grace.

Now here’s some honest truth, First name / sister 👉🏻 if we’re going to thrive in our divinely designed roles with tenderness, grace, and feminine strength, then we must be rooted in the Word of God.

But is it just me, or do you ever feel lost on where to start when it comes to spiritual growth?
📖 You want to read the Bible more, but you don’t know where to start reading.

✏️ You wish you knew how to study, but you simply stare at the pages, not knowing what to do.

🙏🏻 You want to pray to God, like, really pray, but you feel like you’re just repeating the same things over and over.

If this is bringing up fears of falling short, let me be the first to say: there is no such thing as a perfect Christian.

God is looking for your best effort, not a perfect score.

But sometimes it can feel like we’re the only ones who are falling behind while everyone else is spiritually smart  (I can’t be the only one who feels this way, right First name / sister?)?

First name / Sister, if you’re ready to start spending time with the Lord seven days a week without stressing for perfection, then I have a beautiful new resource that I’d like to share with you…

Come together with Christlike women to sow kingdom seeds in our homes, hearts, and habits.

I set out to create a magazine that is biblically sound and spiritually rich. And as a woman who loves looking at beautiful things, I couldn’t help but include beautifully feminine elements that reflect the gardenesque things we talk about all the time.

Inside this quarterly magazine, you‘ll find articles that reflect three different areas a Christian women should focus on: our homes, our hearts, and our habits. To further explain, take a look at this lineup of posts inside the very first issue, coming out in October:

You’ll also find some little tidbits like my favorite fall items for the house, a quarterly Bible reading plan to enjoy October-December, prayer prompts to prepare for the New Year, and there may be a few other surprises and resources tucked inside too, but I can’t give it all away just yet!

How does the membership play in?

Over the last few months, I’ve reached out to multiple Christian friends with this question: what encourages your spiritual growth the most?

Two answers kept sticking out: community and accountability.

Enter the membership. Opening in January 2025, the membership space will be an online community that you can plug into and make new friends.

✏️ We’ll study the Bible together.
📖 We’ll read the Bible together.
🙏🏻 We’ll pray together.
🤍 And we’ll get to know each other on a more intimate level.

The goal of the membership is to bring together sisters in Christ and spiritually grow alongside each other.

Does this sound like a spiritual resource you need?

First name / Sister, I would love to hear back from you. Would you be encouraged by reading the magazine and would you feel inspired to take part in the membership?

Before I go, I must tell you the truth: the first issue of Gather in the Garden, releasing in October, is a test run.

In order to financially afford the cost of production for the magazine and membership, we need at 25 sisters in Christ to preorder. So will you do me a favor?

If this is a resource that appeals to you, would you be willing to click here and join the waitlist?  There’s no pressure to purchase by joining the waitlist, but it does help me prayerfully prepare for how many women we might be welcoming into the Garden come October.

If you feel like going an extra step further by letting me know you’re extremely interested in preordering at the end of August, then HIT REPLY and let me know.

I hope you’ll join me and praying for Gather in the Garden to bring great spiritual impact to the kingdom of God.

And I am praying for you, First name / sister, that you take Pappaw’s words to heart. Spend time in your Bible more than Sunday and Wednesday church services. There’s a treasure trove of Scripture to discover.

until we gather again,
  Natalie

PS: also, First name / sister, to help me curate Gather in the Garden to your spiritual season, can you share with me a bit about your spiritual journey? You can tell me with words, or just include the emoji in your reply!
