Dear First name / friend, Coming to you on a Monday after a 10-day staycation with my 3 sons (along with visits from their awesome friends). It was a banner week and I'm taking today to recover…. and no, I did NOT #justgetdressed. So sue me.🤪 We sure had a great time. 😍 And the house is still standing. 👍🏼 (And no, that is NOT my house in the background). |

The Fall Style System is OPEN for registration! Starting next week we'll be going through the checklist to make sure we have what we need to make this a fabulous season of style and #justgetdressed. Learn more and grab the Style System HERE. |

Tipsy Tuesday: Wide-Leg Pants and Petites, 4 Considerations |
|
1. High Rise with Drape: Choose high-rise (i.e. 8" or higher. Choose the best for your torso). Look for pants and jeans with a soft drape to avoid overwhelming your frame or adding visual bulk. In addition to the pair I show below, this pair of ponte pants is fantastic. They also come in a straight leg style.2. Length: Opt for full-length or ankle-length pants to elongate your legs. 3. Shoes: Match your shoes to the pants’ tone, and choose pointy or round-toe styles with a small heel for added height. If your pants are cropped (i.e. a couple inches above the ankle) a nude-to-you sleek shoe will visually elongate your legs. A bootie with a fitted shaft that fits under the hem of the pants is a great choice too. Scroll down to see booties styled on a 5' tall woman. 4. Top: Keep your top more fitted, tucked in (or half tucked), or shorter (i.e. hip bone area or waist length). A tonal or monochrome outfit helps create a longer, leaner silhouette. A column of color is a favorite styling trick and allows you add color and interest with your topper. Click here for an IG reel demonstrating this. And be sure to follow me there @b.styled. |

Fall Outfit Ideas (on a 5' tall woman) |
|
These are some great outfits to give you inspiration as we inch toward the best season of the year for dressing. These looks are all from the fabulous Fall CAbi Collection (their best one yet in my opinion). I'm here to help with 1:1 stying advice and service with the Cabi line. They also have a really cool app called Cabi Tap that lets you keep track of what you own, get daily outfit ideas and even add your own basics to your “closet”. Use the looks below as inspo to create looks from your closet. Some elements to look for (that apply to Petites and everyone else as well): - Notice how the short skirt looks great with the black tights and matching black shoes/boots.
- The long red coat is tailored and structured so it doesn't overwhelm her figure. She shortened the arms to above her wrists as well - a great trick.
- When she wears a mid-thigh length jacket she tucks in her top and wears the jacket open. And the jackets are tailored/structured and fit her well.
- The long duster cardigan works beautifully but is a chic style many Petites avoid. But because she paired it with the long dark denim that extends to the floor, and a tucked in blouse, it really elongates her 5' frame beautifully.
- See how she cuffed the fun Chilling Pant to show her ankles when wearing them with the sneakers. The same pants look great cuffed with black booties too. No alterations needed!
- I love how she chose tan boots or black boots based on the outfit…Those two color boots get me through the entire fall season. I have these.
- I love the length she chose for the Soho jeans, the Cinch Straight jeans, and the Venice Trouser jeans. These are inexpensive alterations that don't ruin the style of the pant and make them look custom fit to her. A smart investment. The Dandy Pant is unaltered and can be worn as a cropped pant or longer based on your leg length.
- Notice her sleeve length — she shows her wrist/lower arm in all these looks…so key and so easy!
