Ironic, maybe. Maybe it's ironic that one of the most iconic yoga phrases is the lesson I have for us today. Maybe it's time I practice what I preach. I've said before, I teach to myself. The lessons life presents me are the same ones that I bring to the mat to share with you. Either way, living a yoga lifestyle means letting go of what isn't serving, and it's time to put this yogic principle into practice.
 

While I still believe in the calling, the mission, and the purpose of re-membering and re-integrating with our true natures, becoming unified, complete, whole, healthy, and healed, and the resulting freedom in body, mind, and spirit, the reality is that yoga, as a business, is no longer serving its purpose and is requiring more of me than I am willing to give it at this time. So I sit at an interstice, a conjunction between what I had dreamed for Rise, and its reality--where obedience is the only way forward. 

It is time to let it go.

 

 

The brick-and-mortar will continue to house small businesses, and what has been known as Rise Studios will act as a location for these businesses to operate out of--I've been thinking of it as a health-centered marketplace. There are many unknowns, and you are invited to ask any questions you may have. I will have some follow-up communications about the businesses that will live here and how you can engage with them in the coming weeks.

 

I personally am still compelled and driven forward into my purpose and mission, yet it is calling me beyond these four walls and the ways of the past decade. I don't yet know what that looks like. I'm going to take time following the closing to metabolize all that has been. But for now, in this phase of life, I desire to soak up the short remaining days and full lives of my teenagers and the rest of this beautiful life available to me. I carry, with gratitude, each day, every breath, body, and soul this business has brought together.  We are all connected, we are all One.
