The view above was very familiar to me throughout August, as the flu that I came down with days after my birthday in mid-July has lingered on and left me with post-viral fatigue. Luckily for me, my darling more-than-human's Parsnip and Pushkin have kept a close eye on me. I genuinely think I'm on the mend now (fingers crossed), but it's been a rubbish six weeks!
So, hopefully I'll be in fine fettle for September which is (apart from Christmas and Mother's Day) the busiest time of the childless year for me/us, as it's the both the 8th World Childless Week (online: global) and the 4th StoryhouseCHILDLESS conference (in person, Chester UK).
Before I kick off, I just wanted to let you know that there are just a couple of places remaining on our UK/EU Live & Online Reignite Weekend on 14/15th September. 2024's World Childless Week takes place from Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd September, is online and totally free. Each day features webinars based around the day's topics (see below) and throughout each day, and submissions sent in by childless people like you from around the world are published throughout each day on the WCW website.
Although the formal deadline for submissions has closed, Stephanie (WCW Founder) is still open to submissions for ‘Childless Person of Colour’, ‘Childless Friend or Foe’ and ‘Words that Hurt’, so please send them in to her here, or if you have any questions, you can contact her here.
