Forget cabbage patch dolls (my cousin Claire was obsessed with them when we were wee) and bring on the cabbage patch recipes.
 
They are a seasonal veg for September (can you believe it's September tomorrow?). so it's at it's best and at it's cheapest.
 
From white cabbage, red cabbage to pak choi, spring cabbage or cavolo nevo, there are plenty of options available.
