In case you missed the big news...

— So Thrilled to Share —

I am honored to be featured in the September Style Issue of
DC Magazine as a part of their spotlight on Dynamic Women!

DC Magazine's 2024 Dynamic Women feature is celebrating the visionaries and leaders shaping the future of women entrepreneurs in the DC region. I am thrilled to be included with such an incredibly talented and accomplished group of women!

Additionally, the September Style Issue presents Women of Style, which shines a spotlight on the sharpest and most fashionable women in local and national journalism.

Other arts centered stories of note include: Bring on the Bard, highlighting the reopening of The Folger Shakespeare Library; Beautiful Journey, a profile on Baltimore-based artist Linling Lu; and Sound & Vision, an examination of HYPERSPACE, a site specific sound sculpture that uses mirrors and music created by Yang Bao.

The September Style Issue is live and available on-line.

Absolutely thrilled with this incredible Raul de la Torre original mixed media painting. My clients were looking for a piece with interesting and unique texture and color. Enter artist Raul de la Torre. De la Torre begins by working with paint on a paper or canvas medium (in this case, canvas). Then, he makes cuts onto the painted surface. Finally, he fills those cuts by hand embroidering the piece with cotton thread. Just an amazing level of detail that really pulls you in as the viewer for a closer look. Check out this IG reel to see more!

A Must See Opens at the NGA:
Paris 1874: The Impressionist Moment
National Gallery of Art
September 8 - January 19

How did Impressionism begin? Discover the origins of the French art movement in a new look at the radical 1874 exhibition considered the birth of modern painting.

A remarkable presentation of 130 works includes a rare reunion of many of the paintings first featured in that now-legendary exhibition. Revisit beloved paintings by Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, and Camille Pissarro and meet their lesser-known contemporaries. See the art norms they were rebelling against and learn what political and social shifts sparked their new approach to art.

NGA is the only American stop for this historic exhibition.

September is a great time for a fresh start! If you are ready to add an exciting piece of art to your collection, I would love to work with you. (Don't forget…now is the time to assess your entertaining spaces before we enter into the busy holiday season.)
