Hey First name / friends!

Remember that Holiday-in-July mini collection challenge we did a few weeks ago? (You can check out those challenge prompts in the #CreateWithCatCoq Vault if you missed it!)

I was blown away by the marketable collections that the artists in our community were able to create in just one month from my free prompts and blog posts. The coolest part? The strategies I shared during that free challenge are just the tip of the iceberg! 👇👇👇

I have an entire system that I use to create strategic collections that consistently land me art licensing deals.

And I’m thrilled to be teaching this proven system in my robust new program, The Art of Collections which is opening in just a few weeks on September 23rd.

✨ And… SURPRISE! ✨
The first 20 people to join the program will receive a personalized recorded portfolio review from me. Those who are on the waitlist will be 24 hours early access to join before it's open to the public. Make sure you're on the waitlist if you want my feedback on your portfolio!

Here are a few of the stunning collections from July's mini-collection challenge.
Want to take your collections to the next level and learn how to pitch them successfully?

#CreateWithCatCoq - Palm Pattern
As I’ve been pulling together content for my new program over the past year, I’ve been revisiting lots of my licensing deals and collaborations from over my past decade in the art licensing & surface pattern design industry. Looking back at photos of the times I’ve seen my art in stores gives me butterflies to this day. 🤗

I am so grateful that I get to do what I love for a living. And one of my biggest goals as an educator is to help you turn your passion into your career too!

This week’s #CreateWithCatCoq challenge is inspired by a trip I took to Sam’s Club to see one of my collections in stores!

This palm pattern design has been a staple in my portfolio and with a few color tweaks, it has made its way into more than a few individual collections. Can you spot it on the left in this collection of fabrics?

Palm patterns have always been big sellers for me. From fabrics to lunch bags, this motif is a fantastic evergreen trend to include in your portfolio.

This week, I’d love for you to create a palm pattern of your own and share it on Instagram with the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq and tag me @catcoq so I can see your work and share it easily.

Your palm pattern can be drawn in Procreate like the lunch bag example, or hand-painted like this one that got picked up for a collection of wallpaper with RoomMates Decor!

And don’t forget that my new program is opening for enrollment soon! Click here to learn more about the program and join the waitlist.
