Search Committee Formed for Dr. Al Wagner’s Replacement

Scholarship Opportunities for High School Seniors
Our organization is exploring the possibility of offering scholarships to high school seniors who are planning to pursue careers in the food industry. We are considering partnering with local 4H programs to reach these students. If you have any ideas on how we can identify deserving students or know of potential candidates, please get in touch with us. Your input is invaluable as we work to support the next generation of industry leaders.

Annual Meeting – A Record-Breaking Success
We are thrilled to report that our recent Annual Meeting was a huge success, with 135 attendees—the highest number since 2017! Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event so memorable. Your engagement is what keeps our organization thriving.
How are the scholarship funds spent?
We are excited to share that a motion was passed to allocate $75,000 from our Scholarship Foundation to several worthy causes: $15,000 to Marine Combat Outdoors, $15,000 to Texas Tech, and $45,000 to Texas A&M. In addition, we will fund a Texas Tech Endowment fund at $25,000. This allows for a scholarship to be made annually on our behalf in perpetuity. This is a significant commitment, and we are eager to hear from our members about how we should spend the remaining funds. Your voice is important in these decisions.
Call for Speakers
We are looking for individuals who are interested in speaking at our annual meeting. It is May 14-16 in Fredericksburg, Tx. If you have expertise to share or know someone who would be a great fit, please let us know. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the professional development of our members.
Thank you for being a part of our community and contributing to our shared success. We look forward to another year of progress and collaboration!
Sincerely,
Your President, Janet Adams
