Greetings Barre Bae!

Wishing you a happy Tuesday morning. I'm still recovering from a very busy, but very joyous weekend filled with double dates, wellness community, and overdue quality time with a dear friend.

This week, we're breaking down the FBW programming format and its benefits, noting some September schedule changes, checking out my favorite recovery slides, and spreading the word for the retreat as there are a few spots still open!

FBW Weekly Class Programming Explained
At Freedom Barre & Wellness we do the same routine for a whole week for a few reasons. Most serious athletes or dancers know that the only way to really see progress is through repetition, creating muscle memory. Our connection gets richer every time we get a chance to work through the same movements. When new programming or sequences are being introduced, sometimes it takes a few times for things to fully click. Taking classes two to three times each week also builds confidence. As the person creating the classes I, too, feel more confident in the movements after each session.

Planning one thoughtful session each week is also all I have the capacity for. I try hard to model what protecting your peace looks like for my clients. FBW is currently in its infant stages. Hopefully one day it’ll grow into a full fledged studio. But for now, I have a full time job and a family who needs me around and present. Curating more than one class each week is not something I have space for. And honestly, I’m not sure if I had the time I'd do it differently (for the reasons I stated earlier).

With school back in session and the upcoming retreat, there are a handful of days this month that will be cancelled.
  • Thursday, 09.12 - no class, son's Back to School Night
  • Tuesday, 09.24 - no class, away for retreat
  • Thursday, 09.26 - no class, away for retreat
If you are interested in getting a class recording while I'm away, please email me.
