Wellβ¦hello First name / Lovely! Well after an all over the place week last week I finally got things organized and I'm in the studio this week energetically tackling projects. I absolutely love when I get into the zone of working and making progress on my big goals. Annual planning can be great for setting ambitious goals but (and I'm sure I am not alone here) unless you actually revisit them it can be easy to literally forget about what they are. In our peer groups inside the Modern Maker Collaborative Mastermind we've just started a 90-day Goal-Smashing Session and my motivation level is super high. I spent time revisiting my annual goals and then choosing three to focus on for this 90-day session. |
|
One of my big three goals is to get more consistent with writing and sending my email newsletter (like this!). I love writing and connecting with folks but have a terrible habit of writing and then letting things just sit there for weeks without sending them out (weird, I know!). |
|
So, here I am. And if you don't hear from me next week, send me an email and ask me why, ok?! A friend recently encouraged me to not be afraid to take up space and it really resonated with me. I feel as if I have fallen into a bit of a rut and haven't been showing up so I'm calling myself out on it. If that is you as well feeling this way - whatever it is, I encourage you to take the leap and just go for it! To not be afraid of sending the email, Posting on Instagram, Marketing your work, Sending that pitch letter. ππΌ |

HELPFUL TIP ππ FOCUS ON YOUR TOP THREE ππ Just like I narrowed down my top three goals for the next 90-days, I also narrow down my top three tasks for each week, and each day. This is a huge thing for helping yourself to stay focused and actually get the things done that will help you reach your goals. I use my Modern Maker Planner to plan out these things each week and then when I sit down to work each day I know exactly what to get done first. |

On my to-do this for this week together is to get on-top of creating my 2025 Calendar. Part of me says I am behind as I usually like to have this done in the summer but part of me also is fine with this. I know I can make the time this week to finish up the paintings I need to do. I've scheduled the time next week to do the design aspects of the project and also plan out the marketing which I love. I recognize that I tend to try to take on too much and simply can't do everything so I'm really trying this season to stay positive, make progress on projects, and be happy with getting things done in their own time. |

I do put together a desk calendar each year with a nature theme. This year it is all about the trees here in Ontario. It's been really wonderful to learn all about them and identify the different varieties. |

We all know that growing your email newsletter list is key for building your creative business. A nurture sequence (also called a welcome sequence) is the perfect way to welcome new customers onto your newsletter list and into your creative world. Once you set up your nurture sequence it will work like magic in the background for you helping to grow your business. If setting up your Nurture Sequence has been on your TO-DO list and it has yet to be ticked off, I've got something that can help. I just added to the studio shop a Quick-Start Guide that walks you through step-by-step how to do this. Inside the 19-page guide you'll find: - Exactly what a nurture sequence is-
- Why it is key for building your email newsletter list-
- Precisely how to set-up your sequence.
Plus as a BONUS I've included fill-in-the-blanks email templates to make writing your nurture sequence a breeze! |

Wishing you a joy-filled, creative week! As always, hit reply and say hello I'd love to hear from you. |
