This week I delivered a project (not shown) that included scanning an oversized archival album. The client plans to use the digital photos to create photo albums to share with extended family. What a gift!
Project #1: Camcorder tapes (46 of them!!) that are 20+ years old. This family can now view hours of birthday parties, baseball and basketball games, and family memories. Did you know these tapes degrade over time?
Project #2: Hundreds (probably 1000+) of photo slides. These slides haven't had eyes on them in over 50 years. They contain military secrets (okay, not secrets, but photos from a European tour), family vacations, and more. Slides produce an excellent digital image when preserved properly and scanned.
Project #3: An entire career's worth of photography and digital photos on large capacity external drives and USBs. It's helpful to have backups, but even backups fail, and then you're left with a digital headache. Time to help make sense of it all. Do you have an effective backup solution?
