BUILDING A JOY-FILLED CREATIVE BUSINESS |

Happy Thursday First name / Lovely! After a brilliant day with my Mastermind group yesterday (it was our fall retreat, this one was held online) I woke up today in an absolutely fabulous mood. While out on my morning walk, I was thinking of all the things in my business that bring me joy. A few of them include: - Being part of a brilliant creative community
- Having a great morning breakfast routine with my kids (it's super chill and we always sit down together which I love)
- Working everyday doing something I enjoy
- Being able to take breaks during the day (to walk, or say - bake muffins like I just did).

A book that I reach for again and again (and happens to currently be on my desk) is DO/OPEN by David Hiett. If you are looking to write great newsletters, foster community, and really transform your business - it is a perfect read. It's from part of a series of DO BOOKS that I love. Each one is written by someone who has great success with a certain topic that has shared their experience and learning in a book. The books themselves are easy to read, beautifully laid out, and there is something wonderful about a collection of useful books that is just pleasing. |

I recommend this book for makes and artists who are Talented Tourists and Avid Adventurers on the Makers Map, though it's still great no matter which stage you are on of your creative business journey. If you haven't yet, download a copy of our most-loved resource, the Makers Map. Inside there are more book, podcast, and resource recommendations based on where you are at with your creative business. |
