The advanced readers are loving Mail-Order Carpenter! My top two favorite comments to read from reviews are - “it made me laugh” and “I couldn't put it down” so far we're hitting the mark on both.

Fun fact: Historically speaking (according to the internet!), the animals in this book weren't imported to the US until the 1980's. We (myself, a few authors, and the editing team) had several conversations about this 100 year discrepancy. I made an authors note in the book about it as well. 

The conclusion was: Even though this is “historical” (and we want to be accurate) at the end of the day it's still a work of fiction AND Juliette very well “could have” imported them illegally (or purchased from someone who imported illegally) from the UK or elsewhere in the 1890s when the book is set. 

So… there we are! What say you?

 I couldn't put this down! I read it all in one sitting, late into the night because it was SO good! The characters captured my attention from the very first page. What started as a marriage of desperation for both Juliette and Roman to keep their very different dreams alive, turned into something so much more.
