I’m “falling” for beautiful diamonds and jewelry!

It’s officially fall…and I continue to fall deeply in love with the amazing opportunities I have to bring you insight into the things I’m most passionate about in life…diamond, jewelry and lifestyle news!  Did I choose this wonderful business – or – did it choose me?

From a young child on, I dreamed of sparkly things like diamonds and gems, and this curiosity of the wonders of nature’s most precious gifts left an indelible mark on my soul to spark the intense passion I have for the jewelry industry.

What a joy to discover I could create a career to embrace as a Private Gemologist.  Thank you for being a loyal friend, client, and subscriber to my newsletter.  I write this from my heart each month with you in mind.

Each fall, jewelry designers present their beautiful new creations to showcase the latest trends and tempt us with new designs to accessorize our looks to match the current fashion trends.

With the holidays nearing, think about the look you want for the festive party season and pieces you want to add to your holiday gift “wish list”.  I’ve attended the trade shows, connected with some amazing new designers and have a unbelievably extraordinary selection of beautiful jewelry to delight you.

The private VIP jewelry trunk show with designer Surbhi Pandya of Vivaan Jewelry is upcoming so check out the details below to snag your invitation to attend this event.

We will not only be featuring the gorgeous designs of Surbhi, but we will all participate in her “Diamond Meditation” and energetic gem readings to showcase how she uses her spiritual connections to create her designs.

Jewelry, like the changing seasons, reflects the beauty of transformation. Just as autumn's golden hues give way to winter's sparkling frost, each piece of jewelry captures a moment, reminding us that in every shift, there is beauty waiting to shine.

The Science of Colored Diamonds

“These natural colored diamonds are beautiful, but what makes them simply extraordinary is their extreme rarity!”

“What are colored diamonds? We often think of natural diamonds as the scintillating colorless or white gems that humans have cherished for thousands of years. Formed deep within the Earth under extreme heat and pressure, these treasures only develop when carbon atoms bond together in a crystal lattice structure.

But many forget that certain variables, like the internal trapping of non-carbon atoms or changes in pressure, can alter the stone during a diamond’s formation. This results in diamonds of nearly every color in the rainbow, better known as “fancy-colored diamonds.” This natural phenomenon is one of the rarest and most beautiful things we see in nature.”

I was first introduced to natural colored diamonds from my mentor in the jewelry business…Robert Haack.  Robert spent his lifetime collecting some of the most beautiful and rarest colors of diamonds in every shape, size and color.  His hunt for these rarities took him to all corners of the earth and I accompanied him on some of these quests.

What a thrill for a gemologist like me to see and learn firsthand from such an expert as Robert was.  He was especially fond of the pinks and blues…which are amongst the rarest of colors.  I too developed a deep appreciation for such unusual gems and for my good fortune in hearing the tales of his finding these gems to add to his collection.

Have courage to be your true & authentic self…

We’ve all been there…trying to fit into someone else’s mold to meet their expectations so they will like or accept you.  I’ve done it and it just ends up with me being miserable for compromising my own beliefs or values.  Have you ever felt this and kicked yourself for it? Yep…thought so!

News flash…the people who truly love and appreciate you and cherish your relationship won’t expect you to fit their mold…they will want you to be your true and authentic self and all that comes with it. Unconditional love and acceptance overlooks the parts which someone may not particularly like.

That’s normal and healthy and big picture thinking.  Small annoyances should not be “deal breakers”.  We should focus on the things we love about a person and not the things which don’t mirror our own expectations.

I continually strive to stand with my conviction of presenting the “true me” in any situation.  That is operating within integrity.  But sometimes I’ve overlooked remarks or actions just to get along and not rock the boat and that goes against the grain of my inner being. Unfortunately, doing this long-term inevitably creates friction and frustration because sooner or later when you finally stand up for yourself, you can be accused of causing problems.  Interestingly, some will only accept you when you acted within their expectations, and now presenting as your new authentic self can be met with resistance. They look at you like you’re an alien when it’s simply only the real you finally showing up.

So, I’ve learned my lesson to try and never compromise myself.  I can only be me…take it or leave it!  And someone way wiser than me once stated “it’s none of your business what others think of you”.

You can’t please everyone or control others’ perceptions of you, so just be fearless and courageous in presenting your true authentic self each and every time in the most kind, loving and respectful way. And it works both ways! You should let others be themselves too without judgement.  You’ll be way happier if you operate within those mantras, and this leads to more inner peace and happiness!  HERE'S TO BEING REAL!!
