Hey First name / friends!

 

It's officially fall! Since I'm usually somewhere tropical this time of year, I have to live vicariously through my friends and family back home when it comes to the autumnal hype.

 

I feel like this season has become more and more popular over the years. It's fun to see people getting so into it and decking out their homes in autumn decor! 

 

This is great news for us surface designers since it means more demand for seasonal artwork and decor! 

This week's challenge is to design a pattern or illustration featuring fall foliage! Think leaves, mushrooms, acorns, and fall flowers like mums!

 

You can use any medium you prefer. I have fall artwork in all kinds of different media including Procreate, Illustrator, and Watercolor!

Here's my example: I drew the pattern on the left on my iPad in Procreate. The cascading leaves on the framed painting on the right were painted by hand in watercolor!

A few weeks ago, we did a challenge featuring an ever-popular motif - palm leaves! I loved seeing the fun variations that you all created!
