- Sideshow Spirits & Kinkaider Brewing launches the Snow Beast Cinnamon Vanilla Whiskey today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the brewery’s Omaha location at 2279 S. 67th St.
- Whiskey Wednesday at Library Pub, 5142 N. 90th St., features Whistle Pig Whiskey. Cost is $50.
- Tacotopia, a taco festival, is Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Nebraska Furniture Mart, 7311 Jones St.
- Wahoo Bakery 100th Birthday Bash is Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 544 N. Linden St., Wahoo, Neb.
- Oktoberfest is Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at Rudy's Xmas Bar, 8503 Maple St.
- Seventh Annual Chili Crawl is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating Midtown Crossing establishments. Restaurants will each offer their own signature chili recipe, available for purchase as a $4 sampler. Visit as many restaurants as possible and cast your vote for the best chili in midtown.
- Taste of Italy is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 1745 Madison Ave., Suite 1, Council Bluffs, Iowa. There will be a create-your-own pasta & bruschetta bar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., authentic Italian demos from 1 to 3 p.m., plus a photobooth and kids activities.
- Cousins Maine Lobster, a franchise that has been featured on “Shark Tank,” will have a food truck at Pint 9 Brewing Co., 10411 Portal Road, on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. They will be at Full Fledged Brewing Co., 40 Arena Way, Suite 2, Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Order ahead on the app; mobile orders are accepted for day-off.
- Tarot & Tequila is Saturday at 7 p.m. at Burrito Envy, 6116 Maple St. There will be a sign up sheet at the bar for readings. Tarot By Stef will offer readings for $15 each. Food and drink specials will be available.
- Upcoming tea parties at The Bubbly Tart, 3020 Leavenworth St., include Halloween Themed Tea Parties on Saturday from noon to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Oct. 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Oct. 19 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tea Parties are $60 per person.

(Cooking, Decorating & Boozy Classes) - Spooky Charcuterie Class is Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Highland House, 20466 Ohio St. Each guest will receive a 17-inch palm leaf coffin cheese board, ingredients, step-by-step instructions, pairing suggestions, snacks and alcohol-free beverages (you are able to BYOB). Cost is $75.

- Mix and Sip: Spooky Spirits Halloween Edition is Oct. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Time On My Hands, 7020 Maple St. Knockout Mixology will teach attendees two signature cocktails inspired by the Halloween season, complete with creepy garnishes and eerie effects. Must be 21+. Cost is $50.
- Dining Etiquette and Charcuterie Board Class for ages 12+ is Oct. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leaders 2 Legends Academy, 1423 Ogden St. The first hour covers the essentials of proper dining etiquette for both formal and casual settings; the second hour focuses on designing a visually stunning and delicious charcuterie board. Cost is $60.

(News and Stuff) - Haunting of the Dell Halloween pop-up bar is at Dundee Dell, 5007 Underwood Ave., now through Oct. 31 in the Pine Room featuring the Wizard School Drink Menu.
- Frosted Pine Coffee, 2701 E. Kanesville Blvd., had its soft opening Sept. 24-27. The Grand Opening was Sept. 30. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Sara Omaha Lounge, 1012 S. 10th St., is reinventing itself. Its last day as a cider bar was Sept. 28. It will soon become Saro Event Lounge.
- Tracks Lounge confirmed the rumors that they will open a second location. The plan is to open a new lounge at 181st and Q streets in 2025.
- New fall drink menu at Lux American Grill, 9839 S. 96th St., Suite 105, Papillion, Neb., includes an apple butter old fashioned, apple cider margarita, caramel apple mule, and a pumpkin spice cold brew martini.
- The fall cocktail menu at MULA Mexican Kitchen & Taquileria, 3932 Farnam St., was announced and includes Figgy Fall, Bloody Mule, and Caramel Apple Marg-tini.
- The last day of Keg Creek Brewing Co. at its old location was Sept. 29. They are relocating to 17 N. Vine St., Glenwood, Iowa. The new location will be in downtown Glenwood.
- The Light House, 119 W. Mission Ave., is doubling in size to offer a new coffee shop with more pastries, light fare and finger foods. The open date is anticipated to be in mid-November.
- Graze Craze announced its bistro at 220 S. 31st Ave., Suite 3109, was open on Sept. 26. Hours are Thursdays through Saturdays from 4 to 9 p.m.
- Romance Barbecue, a pop-up restaurant, opened on Sept. 30 at Inner Rail Food Hall, 1911 S. 67th St. It's Texas-style barbecue with sides like kimchi and seaweed salad, as well as more traditional slides like coleslaw.
- Hotpot 88 announced it would open in mid-October at 2502 S. 130th Ave. Diners can cook their food at their tables in different pots of broth.
- CLOSINGS: The Blackstone Meatball closed both of its locations – 3910 Harney St. and 18101 Chicago St., Suite 101 – on Sept. 29. You can purchase a commemorative T-shirt on their website and proceeds will go to their kitchen crew. Sunnyside On Center, 3528 Center St., announced it will close permanently on Oct. 6.

- Dandelion Pop-Up features Vulture Food serving up its vegan junk food on Oct. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at 1300 Howard St.
- West O Wine Walk is Oct. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Main Street of Olde Towne Elkhorn. Cost is $20 and includes 15+ stops and live music. Must be 21+.
- Champagne Problems - A Taylor Swift Brunch is Oct. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sips on 10th, 1022 S. 10th St. Ticket is $70 and includes admission for two people as well as a bottle of JCB No 21 to enjoy. Must be 21+.
- Farm Fest: City Sprouts' Annual Fundraiser is Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Venue at Highlander Accelerator, 2120 N. 30th St. The event celebrates urban growers and people making an impact in the local food equity movement. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for kids; price goes up after Oct. 4.
- Dining Under the Stars featuring Tim Nicholson, Executive Chef of the Old Market's Boiler Room, will be Oct. 13 at at MCC's Institute for the Culinary Arts - Fort Omaha Campus at 32nd and Sorenson Parkway. Cocktails start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the five-course meal. Cost is $300 per person (includes food and drink pairing by V. Mertz Advanced Sommelier, Matthew Brown). Event proceeds support the students and programs at MCC.
- Passport Tasting Series featuring Francois Lurton is Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at Corkscrew Wine & Cheese - Blackstone, 3908 Farnam St. Tickets are $50 and include five pours of wine paired with five cheeses, knowledge about the wines and regions, and gratuity.
- Spooky Spirits is Oct. 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St., featuring themed cocktails, ghoulish garden games, wicked plants, and bone-chilling entertainment. Advance tickets are $20, $15 for garden members. Tickets will only be sold at the door if available ($25, $20 for garden members). Must be 21+.
- Oktoberfest at The Warehouse, 1414 West Broadway, Council Bluffs, Iowa, is Oct. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring live Polka music, an authentic German menu, and German beers. Tickets are $40.
- The Third Annual Hunter’s Harvest Dinner, a celebration of wild game and fish with deep historic ties, at Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, 302 S. 36th St., is Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Cost is $225.
- Metz Beer 160th Anniversary and Czech Dinner is Nov. 1 from 5 to 11 p.m. at Infusion Brewing Co., 6271 S. 118th St. The night includes a ceremonial keg tapping of the Metz Beer Barrel at 5:45; a traditional Czech dinner of Roast Pork, Bread Dumplings, Sweet and Sour Cabbage and Rye bread catered by our friends at Eddies Catering; homemade kolaches from Sixth Street Kolaches; and live music by the Barry Boyce Band. Meals are $20 with your first beer/soft drink included.
