// the mood & vibes this week
— hi, friends :) i am writing this to you from the salon chair, if you can believe it. you know that a few weeks ago i went blonde (wild) and today was the touch up day. we got about 65% of my hair colored, but the underpieces (that is def not the correct term) needed some luv. i wear my hair up like most every day because i just get overstimulated, and those pieces were showing through, soooo yeah.
— but this newsletter isn't all about hair. although i should tell you that my first two weeks being blonde have been … awesome. feeling exceedingly like myself, an even more confident/dare-i-say-hot-girl version of me. it's wild how something as simple as bleach has me putting my shoulders back, walking with confidence, and just feeling my power … but here we are. i think when we all find our mode of expression that most feels like us … powerful sh*t goes down. and i've definitely seen that over my transition these last few years, and especially recently.
— but OKAY LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOUSES NOW. i don't know why i felt the need to text-yell, sorry. remember the insane wooden craftsman treehaus i put on the market two weeks ago? WELL! WE ARE IN ESCROW!!!!!! ooookkaaayy i text-yelled again but DANG. i am so excited! i cannot tell you literally anything else about the deal, but WOWWWWW. the girlies showed up. almost 200 people came through our open houses, we had an actual squadron of offers, and are in escrow for miles above list price. which is so freaking awesome i just can't take it. honestly a little sad the buzz is over, because i can tell ya this, it is really fun having an awesome listing that everyone cannot get enough of.
— it also has led to meeting a bunch of new clients, which is always exhilirating for me … to learn of people's stories, wishes, architectural longings.
— if you don't know - as an agent, the main way you meet new clients is either through referrals from your friends/past clients, or through your listings! and the cooler the listing, the cooler the folks who come through the front door are. i'm lucky enough to be building a business that is anchored by clients/friends, but it's always awesome to meet new folks in the wild.
— it almost feels like the difference between meeting a potential romantic partner on hinge vs. in the real world…there's something about the organic meetup that i just can't get enough of. i even had a new client email me after the open saying that they just really liked my vibe from our exceedingly brief conversation, and i thought that was really cool.
— in terms of like, seasonal updates … i'm still navigating this transition to fall. in my brain it is still summer. still july. still 88 degrees out and a few days away from my last ocean dip. but that is not the reality, as i was so brutally confronted by in the santa monica trader joe's when an expiration date on oat milk stared me dead in the face - december 2024. DECEMBER!??!?! AHHH!! okay, deep breaths, deep breaths. i just … am very much missing this summer. i'm feeling kinda mad it's already over. and kinda nervous about the solitude, quiet, and stillness winter brings. but, ya know, it's happening, so i might as well get with the f*cking flow.
— but for now, still in complete denial and am taking an epic journey to italy on tuesday!!!!! yayyy endless summer!! i'm going to visit my younger sister on study abroad in bologna. i haven't been to europe in maybe ten years, so this is a huuuuugeeee deal. will be sharing all the good juju on insta so, def check it out.
— and i think that's it this week. feeling the weather change. vibing with new self-expression. always searching for balance+even. while spending as much time as i can in cool wooden houses.
