This past week, on September 26, I honored the one year anniversary of my diagnosis with Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) by spending the day with this little cutie pie! Nine months old and magical as the day is long.
What a year it has been! So many challenges and changes, and so many opportunities to learn even more flexibility and adaptive skills.
I have infusion #16 of 17 this coming Tuesday, October 1. My final infusion of the series will be October 22, and then I will have a full body PET Scan and Brain MRI on November 11 to ascertain where we are at in my treatment. Hoping to be NED (No Evidence of Disease), but we will deal with whatever the scans show. If I am indeed NED, we will do follow-up scans and bloodwork frequently (every 3-6 months) in the coming year(s).
So, what does all this mean for my massage therapy work?
Well, I permanently moved inside our home this summer and I love the new space! It is quiet and calming, and perfect for massage. My intention is to be open all year-round again, and I have my doctor's approval for me to be working as much as I feel appropriate.
At this time, I am open most Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment. I also may be available on some weekends. While I do have some time marked off on my scheduler for you to book online, the best and easiest way to arrange for an appointment is to simply text or email me, as I can be far more flexible than the openings indicate.
