I'm writing to you from my WW3 bunker. Sadly, no provisions as nearly 50,000 dock workers are striking up and down the eastern seaboard and everyone panic shopped at Costco. Americans in Western North Carolina remain missing and underwater without any government aid but yes, let's send Israel more weapons and $$$ to retaliate against Iran (after manufacturing consent for the bombing of Lebanon of course!) and drag us into WW3. I don't know what episode of Black Mirror this is but I want out. 😒🤬
In other, escapism news, let's talk about the Industry finale. Spoilers, so do scroll past if you haven't watched. Eric really made out like a bandit despite everything—$20 million cash severance from oil money? Yes, please. I really enjoyed the story arc of Yas despite the gut wrenching montage clip with Robert. Now why would they do that to us? Harper and Jesse Bloom will surely be in their insider trading bag again next season. We love to see it! And finally, Rishi—it seems the writer's room hated him as much as I did. Whew. What a scene. This tweet summed it up perfectly. Dante's 9th circle of hell, indeed, Rishi. 😏
Anyways, let's see if I make it out the bunker next week. In the meantime, please send over some Shin ramen. 🍜 Over and out.
Shoes On. Eyes Open.

Spring Summer 2025 Shows
I know I've shared in the past that I only take the time to look at the couture collections because ready-to-wear has often been lackluster, but I really enjoyed going through the photos this time around for SS25.
Issey Miyake's SS25 show titled The Beauty of Paper explored the natural roots of paper. Show notes were given to attendees on a piece of washi, a traditional Japanese paper made from shrubs and bushes. Attendees were also seated on stools constructed of out cylinders of compressed sheets of paper, which the brand says is a byproduct of Issey Miyake’s pleat-making technology.
Loved the Attico's sportswear looks/vibes which were sensual and highlighted by a gorgeous palette. The show titled The Sound of Breaking Glass and began with the sound of breaking glass—a metaphor for the feelings of fragility that the founders were experiencing as both had gone through recent heartbreaks and wanted to explore the strength in fragility. They decided to host the show in a brutalist location to also juxtapose the fragility and transparency of their feelings which was communicated through their use of transparent fabrics.
Anthony Vaccarello was inspired by Yves Saint Laurent famously saying, “Who is the Saint Laurent woman?”"La femme saint Laurent, c’est moi." Personally, I loved the exaggerated menswear inspired suits which of course, reminded my favorite Pat Riley looks—handsome devil. But this aubergine suit was it for me! 😍 Did everyone's dad own these ties in the 80s?
Lots of changes at LVMH this week. The new 10-year deal will include several of LVMH’s iconic Maisons, including Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and TAG Heuer. 🏎️
Pay the dock workers! Apparently, west coast workers belonging to different unions, make about $55 per hour compared with the East and Gulf Coast average of $39 per hour for experienced workers. 🤑
The US and Israel downplayed the strikes but videos have showed warheads landing in northern Tel Aviv, near the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad. 🇮🇷
Nah, ignore what I said weeks ago about the lack of guitar riffs. I've just been living under a rock over here. This track right here? FIRE. I'm sure the whole album is but I still have this track on loop.
I'm afraid I'll be purchasing this vinyl and maybe even tickets to his NYC show. Writing this in realtime as I listen and Wallflowers and Wine is just as good. 🎸🎸🎸
