If you don’t know where “Share the Arrows” came from, several years back as the cancel culture was ramping up, there were many conservative and Christian social media accounts that were attacked for speaking out about abortion, donating to the Trump campaign, not endorsing leftist ideology, etc. Allie Stuckey began calling on her audience to “share the arrows” with these accounts by encouraging them, liking and commenting on posts, and even donating when it was appropriate.
Out of this movement, the Share the Arrows event was born, and that is the event I attended last weekend. There were 4,000 women who attended the event, maxing out the capacity of the auditorium at Prestonwood church in Dallas, TX. We sang worships songs together led by Francesca Batistelli and sat under the teaching of some incredible godly women.
Because my husband sprung for the VIP ticket for me (this entire experience was his idea!), I was able to attend a dinner on Friday night, where I met all of the speakers, and a breakfast Saturday morning before the event began. The meals were provided by Good Ranchers (iykyk) and were absolutely delicious.
There were two significant parts of the dinner for me, though Allie’s Q&A session was great, too. The first was getting about 20 minutes of Rosaria Butterfield’s attention as she poured into me and my friend Kristy. Because I had just finished listening to her book, I felt I could carry on an intelligent conversation with her. I was so blessed to experience that exchange.
The second highlight of the night was simply sitting across from the women at our table. Everyone at the table was younger than me and had younger children than mine, yet it felt like I was among friends. We talked about theology and Bible study, so how could I NOT love it?! I walked away from that dinner with new friendships.
On Saturday morning, we met for a casual breakfast where we were able to mingle. I do have a funny story, though. Before the breakfast, I took my supplements, which include high dose Vitamin C pills. I doubled up on the Vitamin C because I was traveling and wanted to avoid any illness. But I took it on an empty stomach.
My belly did not like that, and before the event began, I found myself bent over a toilet bowl, throwing up all of the delicious breakfast items I had just eaten. Yep! If you are reading this, and you were in that bathroom (a very crowded place) and you heard me retching, I am so sorry! I think I was able to camouflage the sound by continually flushing the toilet, but some may have caught on. And I instantly felt better! I didn’t have any issues the rest of the day. God is good!
The music was great in spite of the fact that Francesca was hoarse. To be in an auditorium with 4k women singing at the same time was amazing!
The first speaker of the day was Rosaria Butterfield, and she brought the fire! She is unashamed, unapologetic, and bold in her testimony. If you haven’t read her book, Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age, I cannot recommend it enough! Much of her talk was based on the content of that book.
She was followed by Abbie Halberstadt, more commonly known as m.is.for.mama, who did a Q&A session with Allie. Abbie was a recent follow of mine because her audience really is moms of littles, but so much of what she shared is applicable to us in any season of life. My biggest takeaway was that hard things aren’t necessarily bad things. She also has books that cover the topics she discussed, one being Hard Is Not the Same Things as Bad.
After a lunch break, where I met so many women, including Melissa Dougherty, we came back to hear Alisa Childers speak about biblical creeds. This was an extension of her testimony, which she shares in her book Another Gospel? She has published a couple more books since that one, and they are waiting for me on my Kindle.
Alisa was followed by a Q&A session with Candace Cameron Bure. I’ll be honest and tell you I have heard Candace speak at a women’s event in the past, and I was a bit disappointed. So I went into this session a bit skeptical. However, it became evident to me that as Candace has become more bold to share her faith, she has also grown spiritually. I was impressed with her transparency and honesty, especially as she shared about marriage struggles.
The final speaker of the day was Allie Stuckey, who of course shared the Gospel along with how it plays out in our lives. It took me a minute to adjust because I listen to her podcast at 1.5x, so her speech sounded slow to me. It took me a bit to figure out why. Allie is releasing a new book called Toxic Empathy, and that content drove much of her topic of discussion.
All in all, I’m so grateful I got to attend. As Allie was leaving the stage, she shouted out “See you next year,” indicating this will become a yearly event. I would love to see you there next year.

While I was in Dallas, I stayed with my friend Eva. Eva and her family moved to Texas from Canada during Covid. Her husband ran for political office in Canada, so she is very passionate about politics and worried for America as she sees us inching closer and closer to the ideology that has taken over Canada.
Eva has begun to post on her social media small, accionable steps we can take to put pressure on our elected officials to begin to steer our country in the right direction. She has posted the links to find out who your representatives are and letters you can simply copy and paste to send them.
Sometimes it feels like there is nothing we can do besides pray, but God puts people in our lives who can give us direction for tangible things we can do. I encourage you to follow Eva Himanen to learn more about these steps you can take (Instagram: @5himanens; Facebook: Eva Hmanen (Saif)).
