I’ve been sitting in the ashy aftermath of the election over the past week. Like a snow globe being shaken for the umpteenth time over these past years, I have no sense of where the particles will eventually settle and take root. What I can do is keep my eyes wide and my heart open, holding the polarities of hopelessness and hopefulness as they grow up alongside one another. What I can do is continue to focus on what’s in my locus of control, getting all the more curious even when I am too exhausted, too angry, or too heartbroken to keep going. I know I have to put one foot in front of the other. Action begets action.
Andisol, the ash-based soil formed from volcanic ash after an eruption, is considered some of the world’s most fertile ground. As someone who seeks spiritual answers in moments of wild chaos and uncertainty, I rest in a deep knowing that systems must crumble, break, and explode in order to create a foundation for flourishing. I believe that a new dawn is upon us— one that is more rooted in feminine principles of generosity, collaboration, and co-creation and we will have to come together in closeness and community for this new era to arise.
The time is now, and your efforts are needed.
Below, I’ve included some articles I’ve found nourishing over the past few days (thank you to my dear friend Emily who put many of these in front of me), as well as a few podcasts I’ve been interviewed on over the last few months.
Additionally, if you’re interested in exploring how you can be of service during this time to yourself and others, I invite you to join me for a one-on-one conversation. Schedule a complimentary intro call to discuss how we can create fertile ground for you and the planet at large. As Rachel Maddow says,
“I hope you are feeling scrappy and tapping into your inner pirate energy.”
