Coventry BID would like to invite you to our 1 st Restaurant week meeting on 4 th
November 2pm at Coventry BID offices Coventry BID Ltd Holt Court (Rear) First
Floor,16 Warwick Row, CV1 1EJ.
 
On the back of the successful Cocktail week that we launched in August that brought
in over £291,000 for the local NTE businesses. We are thrilled to be bringing
Restaurant Week to Coventry!
 
The 9-day event showcases Cities incredible restaurant scene by giving diners
discounts with the aim driving footfall and new business for local restaurants.
Restaurant Week encourages residents to support local while also aiming to bring
more visitors into the city by offering delicious discounts on dining out.
 
This event is free to take part in for both businesses and customers!
 
This event is designed to support our local hospitality businesses that are
facing challenges associated with the cost-of-living crisis (and previously the
COVID-19 pandemic).
 
We aim to achieve this by both driving footfall to increase sales and raising
awareness of businesses who are part of the amazing culinary scene we have
in the city.
 
The 9 days also aims to highlight the talented and hard-working hospitality
staff who are vital in delivering fantastic service and unforgettable
experiences.
 
We will also be looking to fundraise for a local food-based charity.
 

 
BID UPDATES
CRIME REDUCTION MEETING
 
We held the Crime Reduction Meeting on Tuesday at the Coventry BID offices. We had a guest speaker Becky Pearson from Horizen talking about Child Exploitation. She talked about the need to report any suspicious behaviour via 101 and also on the council's website. There is an eLearning workshop that we can join, click the button below for details.
 
Sargent Adam Lewis then talked about crime reporting over the last 2 months, which has unfortunately dropped. Please ensure you are reporting all crime via 999 or 101. We need to ensure that the police have the correct data this will help West Midlands Police with their crime initiatives.
 
Adam described that pedal cycle theft is still high. We need to encourage people with bikes to review their locks, the D style locks offer the best protection.
 
We discussed what retailers had done differently to prevent shop theft in their businesses. There were some really good ideas which are making a difference to stock loss results. It's always good to try new ideas.
 
Coventry BID have appointed a new Security Manager Stuart. He comes with a wealth of experience in the Security and Retail industry, I look forward to introducing him to you all in the next meeting,
The next Crime Reduction Meeting is on the 19th of November with the venue to be decided.
