Happy Thursday First name / Lovely!

Well, it was-5C this morning when I woke up and then there was beautiful frost coving all of the foliage while I was out on my walk. Along with the weather changes, there are heaps of changes happening over here at The School for Modern Makers and I'm super excited to spill the beans about a big one today!

MAKING THINGS: Work

A project I've been working on behind the scenes for a while is… I've been writing a book! It's called Craft Markets: The Ultimate Success Strategy and holy macaroni it’s going to be a game-changer for our maker community! Inside there are 75+ pages of beautiful content with clickable links making navigation a breeze. It includes how to find the best events, how to design a booth to maximize sales, how to price your handmade goods for profit, and so much more.

At the heart of this project is one very important thing, YOU. This book is entirely about you and your handmade business. I use some of my stories and experience as examples, but the book is about YOU finding success selling your work at in-person events.

I had thought I had finished up the manuscript for my book Craft Markets: The Ultimate Success Strategy and was well into working on the marketing materials when I had a brainwave.

Cue me sending a flurry of messages and emails to folks explaining my idea and then a few days later - BOOM! Adding this to the book was like adding an extra layer of icing to a delicious cake. 🎂

JUST FOR: Fun

I started watching the TV show Ludwig this week and am really enjoying it. It's a British show starting David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin (whom I love) about a police officer that goes missing and his twin brother steps into his shoes to solve the mystery. It's quirky, funny, and I love a good mystery!
