Hey First name / friends!

 

As we head into Halloween week, I wanted to make this week's drawing prompt Halloween-y without being too Halloween-y. We've done autumn leaves and black cats, but this week it's all about the modern day witchy vibes. 

 

Your challenge this week is to illustrate gems or crystals! 

I have a mini collection of different gems in my portfolio and these were so much fun to paint. It was really therapeutic to paint the individual watercolor segments and watch the color bloom on the page. 

 

Whether you paint a shiny gemstone, a healing crystal, or a funky geode, I hope you enjoy this challenge!

Here are a few of my favorite costumes from over the years. In an alternate life, I'd be working as a SFX makeup artist in Hollywood specializing in zombie gore. These looks below are made with scar putty, blood gel, toilet paper, oatmeal and a sprinkle of glitter. 😜🦄
