Earlier this month, trapper Han spotted a Siamese cat darting across Marginal Way South, a busy intersection that’s no place for a cat. Following his rescue instincts, Han stopped to see where the cat was headed and began investigating by visiting nearby businesses. In the process, he met a forklift operator at the recycling plant who had been feeding the cats. Thanks to this vital connection, Han learned about an entire colony, including a litter of kittens!

Han worked tirelessly to trap the colony as quickly as possible, recognizing that the area was too dangerous for cats. Tragically, a kitten had been killed after being run over by a forklift, making it even more critical to rescue them all quickly. Four adults and three kittens were successfully trapped and are now in foster care, focusing on their socialization.

Thank you, Han, for noticing the Siamese cat, following your instincts, and taking action to rescue these cats.

Whiskey Sour was previously featured in our Tails from the Traps after being discovered in Beacon Hill with a severe flea allergy. Thanks to the dedication of his foster family and a veterinary medical team, he has healed from his wounds and managed his ongoing allergies. We’re thrilled to share that Whiskey Sour has recently found his adopter and is now enjoying a wonderful forever home!
