Might I go out on a limb and say if you’ve subscribed to my newsletters you have an open mindset? Have an interest in learning new things? I hope so, because I have a concept to share with you that was a little spicy for me at first.

It is an interesting thought experiment and at the end of the day, just like hypnosis, you can accept or reject the suggestions as you like.

Ok, so with thanks to Dr. Srikumar Rao for this little (paraphrased) nugget -
 
There is only one reason that you feel stress in your life, and that is because you have rigid expectations that this is the way the universe should be, and (the universe) is not cooperating.

And the balm for this spicy dish? Radical acceptance.

If we can cultivate a mindset that leans toward accepting a situation, (and this doesn’t require us to like it) we can find a certain neutrality in that. The spice of stress is balanced by the balm of acceptance. 
 
It then allows us to operate from a present state rather than reactivity. From there, we make clearer decisions.
