The photo above is from inside our golf cart - affectionally named “Louise”. Karen's folks recently bought a new golf cart, so we bought their old one. And, we have to say - it's such a great way to get around the neighborhood!

 

Since Louise joined the family, we have given plenty of neighborhood tours - from the Butterfly Garden to Inspiration Hill, the clubhouse, golf course and more. It has quickly become one of our favorite things to do! 

 

Speaking of favorite things, are you familiar with the term ‘ikigai’? It's a Japanese concept that refers to your ‘meaning for being' and it's linked to increased longevity. There's something about aligning the things you love with the things you do that brings more joy to life. 

 

Karen recently wrote an article about it in her newsletter The LIFT. We will include a link to it below. There are so many ways to bring more ikigai into your life and OHCC is a great place to make it happen. 

 

PRO TIP: Don't be afraid to try something new here in OHCC! You just might discover a passion you didn't even know you had. With all of the clubs and activities in OHCC, you have the opportunity to try new things, learn from others and find new friends. If you're not sure what your ikigai is - there is no better place to start exploring!

In October 2024, the Ocean Hills Country Club real estate market saw 9 new listings, up from the 5 added in September. The median asking price for newly added homes was $1.045M, slightly down from the September median price of $1.099M.

 

There were 10 homes sold in October, among the sold properties, 1 sold for more than the asking price, while 7 were sold below the asking price. The median sale price in October was $946,950, slightly up from the September median price of $905,000. The median time on the market for sold homes was 12 days, a few days down from the September median of 18 days.
