feliz día de acción
de gracias

¡Hola, profe!  November is such a busy time for teachers.  I know your time is limited so here are some quick no prep resources to make teaching about Thanksgiving in your Spanish classes a breeze.

You can begin by introducing a brief history of Thanksgiving with our PowerPoint and then show videos that explain the holiday in Spanish.

You may also like sharing this article with your Spanish classes about what the main course will be in Spanish-speaking countries instead of turkey.  This reading goes along perfectly with a food unit!

As a culminating project, students can create their own Thankful Turkeys to practice being grateful and to build community while using the target language.  Students love seeing their classmates’ turkeys and voting for their favorites via Google Classroom or the projects also print well and make a great bulletin board.

For my planners out there:

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.  Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

all the best in your teaching endeavors,
Katie
