Last week was a biggie, right? Maybe you didn’t think we’d go so spicy so fast, but we did. My hope is that it gave you food for thought and that the gentle balm of acceptance (or my 6 Minute Moment hypnotic meditative experience) was able to smooth it out for you.

This week I want to touch on the topic of the stress cycle. It’s a wonderfully important series of body systems and responses working together to keep you alive basically.

You see, evolutionarily speaking, you are a miracle. Just think about the long line of your own ancestors who had to dodge predators and survive the elements long enough to pass on their genetic material.

Each link in your ancestry became so acutely aware of their stress responses that they were able to overcome huge odds to birth the you that is reading this right now. Pretty cool hey?

So you can see it’s no wonder you are a little sensitive to stress.

OK, so back to the stress cycle. A successfully completed stress cycle goes something like this – Trigger – Response – Recovery.

When we are unable to complete the stress cycle for what ever reason, it goes something like Trigger – Response – Resistance – Exhaustion.

As you can see, completing the stress cycle is pretty important – physically, mentally and emotionally.
