A friendly Reminder: We wanted to remind you about Daylight Saving Time This Weekend! It’s that time of year again when we adjust our clocks to make the most of the daylight.
History Lesson:
Daylight Saving Time has been around for quite some time, dating back to its formal inception in 1918 in the United States. However, it wasn’t until the Uniform Time Act of 1966 that DST was standardized across the country. The idea behind DST is to make better use of daylight during the longer days of the year, ultimately saving energy and providing more daylight during the evening hours.
When to Adjust Your Clocks:
This year, Daylight Saving Time Ends on Sunday, November 3rd,. at 2 a.m. Remember to set your clocks back by one hour at that time on Saturday before going to bed.
Yes, it means gaining an hour of sleep, but It also means we’ll have longer daylight hours. So, mark your calendars and set a reminder on your devices to adjust your clocks this Sunday. We wouldn’t want anyone to be late for Sunday Service. Let’s embrace the change in time and enjoy the longer, sunnier days ahead!
Please remember that this Sunday we will be gathering at the church office. Due to the availability of LATC, we will be worshiping at the church office from October 20th to November 10th at 10 AM. Please make note of this in your calendar.

This Sunday, pastor Michael will continue our series “Whole” with a sermon titled “Physical Formation". God has provided us with bodies that are amazing when we know how to pay attention to them. Understanding our “Physical Formation” is meant to help us see how our bodies are truly “the temple of the Holy Spirit” and our own personalized power packs that don’t do a very good job cooperating with us if we don’t respect them. In this message, we will discuss many practical ways we can learn about our bodies in new ways so they will be available to us as we live in the kingdom of God.
Sundays at 10 am at church office. We live stream our worship services via Zoom, Facebook Live, and YouTube Live.
The Byler house in Burbank is open to babies, toddlers, and their parents from 10 am to 12 pm this Sunday and next while church is in the office. We’ll have a Bible story, a fun outdoor space with toys to play with, and the audio of the service for adults. Just let Pastor Lynda know if you’d like to join us!
Due to our limited space, we will open our office doors at 9:45 am to better prepare for our Sunday worship. Thank you so much for your understanding. There will be a small space in the hallway for early arrivals to fellowship until the office doors open.
Given our current rental spaces, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing pets to church. For those with certified service dogs, please ensure they are on a leash and muzzled while in office building. Thank you for your understanding.
