Thanksgiving Day is a holiday we celebrate each November…but giving thanks should be a daily mindset.  Adopting an “attitude of gratitude” is a daily practice, and now it’s become a habit where throughout the day I pause and give thanks to God and Jesus for this amazing life and business I have.

 

In this month of giving thanks, it’s also the perfect opportunity for me to express my sincerest appreciation for all of you…my loyal readers, friends and clients…who motivate me to continue to do what I love. And what I truly love and am completely passionate about is my commitment to bring you gorgeous diamonds, gems and jewelry, plus share my knowledge and experiences to both educate and entertain you! This is my joy!

 

 

We are getting set for the holiday gift giving season and I have spent the last several months sourcing some really unique and beautiful fine jewelry gift ideas to bring an array of simply wonderful choices to you.  I’ve attended jewelry trade shows, held jewelry trunk show events with some amazingly creative designers, and have researched the trends of the season.

We invited two intriguing designers…Vahan Jewelry & Vivaan Jewelry…to our area and partnered with both Faye’s Boutique in Mequon, WI and Wildcat Creek Farm in New Berlin, WI…two fabulous venues. 

 

Working with Faye’s was totally cool, and the collaboration made more than perfect sense as this is a boutique specializing in the latest on-trend contemporary fashion and accessories. 

 

Faye and her energetic and enthusiastic staff embraced the opportunity to offer their very discerning clientele exclusive fine jewelry designs to beautifully accessorize their fashion.  We pampered our guests with wine, champagne and culinary delights from Chef Dan Starke of Cream City Q & Cuisine.

 

Many clients at our events added to their fine jewelry collections and left wearing some of the most unique designs from our two designers.

On a quiet morning in November 2019, an audacious heist unfolded in Dresden, Germany, and it went down as one of the most significant jewel thefts in modern history. 

 

This is the story of the Green Vault robbery. Masked thieves, armed with axes, shattered the reinforced glass display cases in the famed Green Vault, stealing priceless diamond treasures. 

 

The Green Vault, home to some of the world’s most extraordinary diamonds and jewels, became the site of a robbery that sent shockwaves across the globe.

 

For centuries, the treasures of the Green Vault have symbolized European opulence and craftsmanship, with many pieces commissioned by Augustus the Strong, the Elector of Saxony, during his rivalry with Louis XIV of France.

 

The jewels had survived World War II bombings and were even repatriated in 1958 after being seized by Soviet forces, only to be snatched away once again by this daring gang of thieves.

I’ve been wanting to connect with all of you in a different, more personal way so the idea of having a weekly quick “live” on social media to get my message out to a wider audience made sense as so many can benefit from my sharing.  If one person is thinking it, then perhaps others are too.

 

I plan on launching this right after the holidays in January and I will ask viewers to message me with their questions.  I’ll pick one question each week to answer on my “live”.  I’ll even do occasional contests and other fun, engaging things to keep it intriguing and interesting!

I’ll admit it…I really go overboard in thanking people and showing my gratitude always & often!  I am one who believes you can never say a sincere thank you often enough to show your gratitude!  I say thank you for even the very littlest of gestures to the more grand and overt gestures.  And why not?  I feel a guilty pleasure saying thank you, for in reality, it makes me feel great!  So, I can only imagine the person I am thanking must be feeling pretty great too!

 

The secret is to be generous and gracious in both giving and receiving a thank you!  Make sure your thank you comes from the heart and is not just an automatic response so the person you are thanking knows you truly mean it.  Look them in the eye when you say it!  Smile when you say it!

 

And when you are on the receiving end of a thank you, please be equally as gracious in accepting thanks to make sure they know you appreciate their efforts in giving their gratitude.
