In Memory of Jane Rashbash
To Jane,
My dear Jane, they say life is but brief,
Yet I feel otherwise, finding joy in belief.
Together we've laughed, in youth’s embrace,
Worked for our world, each heartfelt trace.
Your gifts to the tapestry of society shine bright,
Gratitude swells for your radiant light.
In my years spent beneath the UK sky,
Your support was a beacon, my spirits to fly.
You listened intently, your heart always near,
With energy woven from kindness and cheer.
Scotland felt home in each visit I made,
As echoes of friendship in memories cascade.
From Edinburgh’s charm to Forres’ grace,
In Aberdeen’s shores, I found my place.
Our journeys along Findhorn’s gentle stream,
Were moments of magic, like whispers of dream.
Planning adventures, your mind ever bright,
You knew where to lead me, from dawn into night.
To beaches and cliffs, where wild waters flow,
In forests and realms where our spirits could grow.
All your friends, like branches, intertwined,
In the warmth of your smile, true treasures I find.
Forgive me for distance, in this moment I sigh,
As you meditate deeply, with memories nearby.
I promise to return to Findhorn once more,
Where the echoes of laughter will forever soar.
In nature’s embrace, where our souls can entwine,
Dear Jane, our journey—a bond so divine.

The International Young Bodhisattva Program 2024 has officially begun in Taiwan!

We are deeply honored to have Ajarn Sulak Sivaraksa and Venerable Chao Hwei join us for the opening ceremony, where they shared profound insights on the role of a Bodhisattva in today's world. Their wisdom inspires young leaders to embody compassion, justice, and nonviolence in their journey of spiritual growth and social transformation.

This year, we are thrilled to have 27 participants from 16 countries joining us, representing a diverse and global community working together for positive change.

The "ပြုံးရယ်သော" Children and Youth Empowerment Workshop, held on October 26-27, 2024, in Mae Sot, Thailand, was organized by INEB, Smile-Lay Club, the Network of Religions for Children at Border on Education and Protection with the supported of  Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) and Arigatou International's End Child Poverty initiative.

Gathering 30 youths from Buddhist, Muslim, and Christian communities, the workshop aimed to empower participants with knowledge on the UNCRC, SDGs, and self-protection skills. Objectives included raising awareness of children’s rights, highlighting the importance of the SDGs, strengthening self-protection, and engaging youth in discussions on the role of religious leaders in child protection. This initiative fostered collaboration between spiritual leaders and young people, promoting resilience and safety in their communities.

The SENS program will be 10 years old in 2025. Our network of alumni has grown along with our reputation in that period of time. SENS alumni are now at the heart of seeing that the program runs well and that it reaches new groups. And we now have large numbers of excellent applications. We see each of them as a potential peacemaker, as a fighter for justice and sustainability. Please contribute if you can! Donating is an action that is within your power, and taking it you join their ranks. For this campaign we receive matching funds in proportion to the total donations we receive, and you can donate at any time during the 24-hour campaign. Thank you!

October: Suicide Prevention
“For Japanese, we believe in an incredible vast expanse of life (命 inochi) that interconnects (縁 en) with those who have lived before. We carry the life forward and relay it, even with animals and plants, etc. In this way, we try to make our service [for the bereaved of suicides] non-denominational as the participants come from a variety of religious and non-religious backgrounds.” – Rev. Fujio Soin 藤尾聡允 (1957) Rinzai Zen priest & co-founder of the Association of Buddhist Priests Confronting Self-death and Suicide. Volume II, p. 131.
