That's Fall Folks!

Dear Friends,

It's officially stick season. As the woods are left barren, with their quiet departure from life and leaf, the pond and paths are exposed. I can see now what was hidden, what was kept from common view. I can see forever as the trees creek and sway under windblown duress. It's even more beautiful than I could've imagined. This is how I'm reflecting on Toah Nipi's first year of independence as a nonprofit. I see so clearly how you as churches, individuals, campus staff and students, and families have poured out your love for God's ministry here. I pray you've received that which you've given here so abundantly. I found I was hurrying myself through this season of growth, innovation, and discovery, despite serving many of you who were intentionally un-hurrying. Thank you for reminding me and the other staff at Toah Nipi that Sabbath rest is what we live out of, not what we live to get to. You make this space special to us - as evidenced by the content of this newsletter.

Now it's time to gaze, rest, and abide in the gift of God's presence. We are here. Now. Praising God for what He has done, is doing, and will continue to do. Clinging to His promises and praying for renewal here in New England. So… the sticks are here, and the snow has yet to fall. But it will. We all know it will! I anticipate it with excitement for a great Light will enter into the darkness. Hope is here. Life will return.

~ By His grace, I faithfully write to you from Toah Nipi

Oh my Gourd-ness, the sign got a makeover!?
Prayer Walk
The next time you go down to the Prayer Garden you'll notice scriptures placed along the way. We pray this serves as a bridge of reflection, an opportunity to invite the Holy Spirit in as you descend down to the prayer garden. We are grateful to Gordon and Gloria Brown and the work they poured into this addition.

HAPPENINGS

Student Ministry
Image item
This fall we experienced a healthy and robust dose of student ministry. With roughly 1005 students from fall conferences, college groups and high school groups. Bringing us back to pre-pandemic numbers. This is a testament to the hunger students have to seek and learn, and love the Lord. Grateful to be able to witness the Holy Spirit move and young people making the decision to give their lives to Christ. It surely is never too early and never too late.

Warm apple cider welcome to Chef Arianne!

A word from greg

Ever feel like something unexpected or good is overdue? Maybe you've been through a tough, empty season and you're weary of staying the course. The Lord knows and He is doing a work.
In May of last year (23') we had a frost in parts of New England...just as our little orchard was in full blossom. As if sent to convalesce for the year, last fall produced no fruit to speak of.
This spring, like emerging from a witch's long Narnian winter, the orchard quickly went from blossoms to need of thinning lest the abundance of fruit break branches. In a similar way, Toah Nipi has sprung from a quiet (covid) season, to an amazing harvest. Hold on my friend - the best is coming. Just as apple crisp was enjoyed by students and church groups this fall the Lord will bring about to completion what he is working in you!  See you at Camp - Greg
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Gal. 6:9
