Thank you for being part of this collective vigil for Pluto.
Here is what you can expect:
Beginning on 11/11, you will receive a daily piece of writing, art or a practice from a trusted esoteric practitioner.
Our intention is to help the collective shift land with more grace and softness, as transitions can be wobbly, but also full of potential. May our communal attention bring more clarity on how our personal and collective transformations may serve one another in these times.
Each of these practitioners creates incredible work and is dear to me. I hope that you are held by their magic in the same way I am.
What is a vigil?
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a vigil is:
- a period of keeping awake during the time usually spent asleep, especially to keep watch or pray.
- a stationary, peaceful demonstration in support of a particular cause, typically without speeches.
2. (in the Church) the eve of a festival or holy day as an occasion of religious observance. nocturnal devotions.
Where this idea came from
I had the idea to observe, witness, and watch over the transition of Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius after telling Maya Netzer that my father was in the hospital for heart surgery. (Thankfully, he did very well.) Though Maya and I have never met in person, she offered to add his name to her daily candle practice, and the beauty of her open-heartedness inspired me to open a doorway for all of us to bear witness to the power of Pluto and to honor this time with art, ritual, observation and connection.
