Day 03 -
A Transmutation Art Ritual
By Arizona Smith

About Pluto Vigil: Each day you can expect a new Pluto offering in your inbox. Tune into what resonates with you, and engage in a way that serves who you are.
*If all you have the bandwidth to do each day is set the intention that Pluto passes through with grace and in a way that is for the highest good of all beings, then do that. Our attention and intention as a collective matter.
If you are just joining us, here is an archive of the transmissions. Password: PLUTO

Dear Vigil Holders,

How are you doing on Day 03?

I hope our communal vigil is allowing you and Pluto to form an alliance in service to our personal and collective transformation.

Today I am so very grateful and excited to offer a ritual from my friend,  the powerful artist and magical healer, Arizona Smith.

The art ritual that Arizona created invites us to work with Pluto as an alchemical force, and blend our creative energy and imagination with Pluto's power.

May this spell serve your highest good, wherever this may find you.

Pluto as Cauldron:
A Transmutation Art Ritual by Arizona Smith

In the tarot Pluto is associated with the Judgment card. In alchemical terms this is the container for transformation, the crucible or cauldron of all things. When we illuminate energies with our awareness we give greater opportunity for inspired action, for magnifying the spell.

So let us turn our awareness to the idea that Pluto is the cauldron, is the alchemical cooking pot, and from this illuminated standing we actively decide what we want to add into it.

But first, let us make this a ritual space so that the energies of our unconscious and those of the guiding archetypes may hear us.

The Ritual

You will need:
  • Pen and paper – dissolvable paper ideal but normal paper fine
  • A bowl of water
  • Salt
  • A candle.

The Ritual

Preparing and Blessing the Ritual Elements
  • Cleanse your space and your body by getting nice and clean.
  • Follow with an intentional smoke bathing – using a dried herb, spice or incense of your choosing.
  • Light your candle as you call upon any loving and or healed guides to witness this work, imagine or draw a circle around yourself and state 'may nothing enter here except the energies of love and above.'
  • Bless* your water, encoding it with your gratitude and your desire for transmutation to occur.
  • Bless* your salt, encoding it with your gratitude and your desire for cleansing to occur.
  • Bless *your hands, may they bring the wisdom and electromagnetic power of your heart into being.
  • If you would like to give a blessing of empowerment to pen and paper too, go for it.
*To bless something, direct the energy of your gratitude into it.

The Ritual Steps
  • Now draw a large cauldron shape on the page, this doesn’t need to be perfect but try to really feel the shape as you make it – draw it like you mean it!
  • Instinctually pour onto the page anything and everything you would like to be transmuted.
Intention-Setting and Closing
And speak this prayer or something similar of your own decree:
  • ‘May all of these contents of my mind, patterning of my being which I do not wish to hold any longer, which was never mine, be received as an offering in the name of love by water. May it be dissolved and changed and become nutrients to anoint the earth with, so beings of love may grow strong.’
  • Place your salt and your paper into the water and let it dissolve.
  • Say silently or aloud, 'and so it is’
  • Trust it is done.
  • Offer the water and your dissolved paper back to the earth to become humus, if it is not fully dissolved, offering it to your recycling bin is just as good.
