Pillsbury Castle Project Launches Online Virtual Experience with Immersive Home Tour
(MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA — November 20, 2024) — The Pillsbury Castle, one of Minnesota’s most captivating historical estates, is proud to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Virtual Experience. For the first time, visitors can embark on a virtual tour of this spectacular home, offering a unique chance for enthusiasts of interior design, remodeling, and history to experience this impeccably preserved and restored space.
“We are thrilled to offer this new Virtual Experience that enables people worldwide to explore Pillsbury Castle,” says Executive Director and homeowner Matthew Trettel. “It was essential to us to find a way to share the design, history, and stories of the castle with as many people as possible while preserving its authenticity and charm. This experience brings the Pillsbury Castle to life in an entirely new way, making its story accessible and engaging.”
This statuesque Tudor Revival was built in Minneapolis in 1903 for Alfred F. Pillsbury, son of Pillsbury Co-Founder John S. Pillsbury. In March 2023, Matthew Trettel and Ryan Hanson purchased the home to reimagine and bring new life to the property. In July 2024, the home opened its doors to the public for two weeks as the ASID Design Home 2024 in collaboration with NARI, welcoming more than 8,000 guests through its doors.
The digital experience includes an immersive 3D virtual tour, access to a 160-page digital publication, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, curated image galleries, and much more, allowing visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and discover the castle's rich heritage.
The Pillsbury Castle Virtual Experience is now live and can be accessed via the Pillsbury Castle’s website. Tickets for the virtual tour are available for purchase for $25.
