This quote (a long-time favorite) always brings me back to my childhood, growing up in a small Wisconsin town where books were my escape, especially during those long winter months. 
 
Reading opened up new worlds and sparked my imagination in ways that nothing else could.
 
Now, as an adult, books still serve as my favorite way to explore, learn, and grow—both personally and professionally. 
 
Today, Gloria from my team is sharing her list of tried-and-true design books. With over 14 years of teaching and a 20+ year career in interior design, Gloria has read countless textbooks and knows which ones truly stand out.

As a tenured college professor with over 14 years of teaching experience at three Midwest universities (following a successful 20+ year interior design career), Gloria has read and reviewed countless interior design textbooks. Her goal has always been to identify the very best: books that are thorough, understandable, and cover a wide variety of design topics.
