As a military spouse and mom on the move, I wanted a way to channel my creativity into a business that could follow me through all stages of life. As an avid baker, I discovered a passion for turning sugar cookies into tiny works of art.

I consider each cookie a canvas where I reflect my imagination and bring unique visions to life. I love that something as simple as a decorated cookie can bring a smile to someone's face.

Welp - it's the HOLIDAYS, and we almost made it to the end of the year! December came so fast, it felt like a blink. Isn't that the way it goes though? The hustle and bustle of it all, then we wonder where the time went, and wish the great memories would happen quickly again. The simple reality is, it will.  As I reflect on this year, it truly feels like a full life lived.  

 

We successfully completed many weddings and events, local markets, four quarters of our mastermind group, monthly floral workshops, special packages and deliveries (including a baby girl), impactful partnerships, dedicated vendors and staff, incredible world travelers visiting the shop, and let's not forget our surprise feature in The New York Times!

 

Although all the good things shared, the fact is that as the owner, I know the cost for our family, friends and clients absorbed to reach this season in our business.  This upcoming February, we will celebrate five years on the avenue.  Our country, society, and business has shifted, yet grown. We are ONLY great because we are together. I believe with my whole heart, sticking through it all and rising with others is where success is found. Life is all about relationships, and we are so blessed with incredible people like you.

 

However, a hard part is saying goodbye to those that won't or can't come along.  A rewarding part is the journey with those who have not missed a step in the gruesome yet beautiful process of growth. These are the humans who have had the capacity to understand and withstand life outside of themselves. It's so nice when someone can give, yet life-giving when someone knows how to give of themselves.

 

If you ask me my favorite part of it this all, it has been your stories. One in particular is one incredible family friends(photo above) who chose a rewritten story despite successes and trials. Their smile says it all. Proud to share life with those who choose the narrow road daily. My friends are proof that it's all worth it. To carry as we climb has been a privilege as we have watched many lives be impacted with the belief of a rewritten story. It honestly has changed me even more.

 

As we took the kids to play at the park over Thanksgiving break, we read on a score billboard “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." Question remains: will you join us in the rewritten?
