Dear First name / friend

As the year draws to a close, I’m excited to remind you of our upcoming Christmas Dinner at Spring Bay Mill, and the fantastic events leading up to it.

Before the celebration, don’t miss an interactive workshop with Sally Murfet, exploring leadership, communication, and team dynamics in a family farming context, as well as a tour of Sea Forest to learn about asparogopsis production here on the East Coast. RSVPs for dinner have closed, but you can still let me know if you’d like to attend the tour or workshop.

This month, I attended an NRM workshop as part of their Viticulture Series – Practical Solutions for Compact Soils and Low Carbon Levels – where we heard from Luke Taylor and Richard Doyle. I’ve gathered some great resources from the day, so let me know if you’d like a copy. If there’s enough interest, ECPP could host a similar session tailored to our community.

Looking ahead, we’ll be running our next workshop in February 2025. If you have any areas of interest, particularly around drought and climate resilience, I’d love to hear your ideas. I’m looking forward to celebrating another fantastic year with you all at the Christmas Dinner!

Best regards,
Tahnee

Update: Stock Water Budgeting Workshop Survey
Image item
In last month's newsletter, we shared details about a survey from East Coast Primary Producers and Pinion Advisory seeking expressions of interest in a Stock Water Budgeting and Planning Workshop, funded by the Tas Farm Innovation Hub.

Unfortunately, there won't be a workshop at this stage because only 3 businesses have expressed interest and we would need at least 6 to go ahead. So if you are interested in attending a workshop, please contact us or fill in the Stock Water Survey EOI form as soon as possible.

East Coast Catchments Project Steering Committee
The East Coast Catchments Project has been seeking new members for its Steering Committee in 2025 to help implement the Glamorgan Spring Bay NRM & Climate Resilience Strategy. If you’re interested in the environment, natural resource management (NRM) and want to get involved, check out the website for details on how to submit an EOI.
