Calm and focus.

I often use the words calm and focus because I'm a meditation teacher. Doesn't just saying the word calm make you feel more calm? Doesn't it feel great when you can actually focus?

One quick way to invite more calm + focus into your day is to take a deep breath and notice what you notice. Take in the sights around you and see what you see. Notice how you feel in your body. Take another deep breath and release the tension in your shoulders. Let yourself pause and simply notice.

Give yourself permission to have a mindful moment.

Sometimes, it works well if you stand up and take a little walk around. Change up your scenery. If you've been in front of your computer for an extended time, take a break and give yourself a moment to get present. You can use your senses to practice being present. I love noticing the light, for instance - how it moves and changes throughout the day.

I often take pause and notice the simplicity and beauty of the light.

Deep breath in. Big exhale out. Get grounded and give thanks for the gift of a mindful moment. It's a gift you can give yourself any time, any day. It's a #KeyHabit that will help you be mindful. It's a practice that will invite more calm + focus into your day.

Good luck with finals! Breathe DEEP knowing you're almost there. ✨

Be mindful, Lynn
