Nothing focuses you on a new goal like living on the water when an active tsunami warning comes in.

Yesterday’s massive 7.0 earthquake in northern California triggered a frightening cacophony of tsunami emergency warnings that blared from everyone’s cell phones just after 11am. I was trying to get my workout in when BAM! All my priorities shifted.

My daughter’s school (thankfully inland) quickly responded to parents that they were paying attention and there was nothing to do as yet.

But then the Bay Area evacuation notices started rolling in.

Hubby – always the bestest person in the universe to have on your team – was laser focused on our new immediate goals.

We quickly got out the sand bags and started moving things upstairs.

Then the evacuation cancellations started rolling in.

And then a few tears started rolling down my cheeks.

With the adrenaline tapering off, I could acknowledge the tsunami of fear that had just swept over me - that at 12:10pm my life might have been fundamentally changed forever.

I know there are many millions of people who have had to deal with the unconscionable reality of natural disasters and didn’t even get an hour’s warning. For them my heart breaks.

So, how does my tiff with mother nature relate to your business?

PRIORITIES.

As we begin prepping our businesses for 2025, I invite you to evaluate what you give your time and energy to.

Many people align their goals around revenue growth, but consider metrics for growth:
  • Do you want to attract a new or different type of audience?
  • Is there a new skill or certification you want to add to your list of services?
  • Are speaking events and/or online interviews something you want to bring in to show yourself as an influencer in your industry?
    (THIS IS MY 2025 PRIORITY!)
Whatever your priorities are, you have to give yourself the space in the new year to achieve them.

You can’t just add on a major new thing to achieve without taking a step back to evaluate what can be adjusted in order to accommodate the new thing.

Let's talk intentional, impactful growth for 2025.

More below here on addressing your priorities in the new year!

What Don't You Want To Do?
Some of us procrastinate getting things done because we like the adrenaline rush of an impending deadline.
(Not me, of course. 🤐)

Unfortunately, many business owners simply don't get done the things that take too long, they are inexperienced at,
or they simply don't want to do.

Give yourself the opportunity to reach new goals in 2025 by offloading the things you aren't getting to now.

How can I help you?
* Ghost writing your newsletters
* Regular SEO-optimized blog posts
* New product development
* Lead magnet design
* Strategic accountability check-ins
* Seeking out partnerships and sponsorships

🎄This year, give yourself the freedom to focus on the things you want to focus on and I'll help you offload the rest.🎄

The 3 Necessary Strategies for Growing Your Business in 2025
To stay ahead of the curve, entrepreneurs must constantly adapt and evolve, capitalizing on opportunities while mitigating risks.

By mastering the art of prioritization, professionals can navigate the ever-changing business environment with confidence, ultimately driving their success and solidifying their position in the marketplace.

1. Set SMART Goals: Establishing your priorities and setting goals is the foundation of growth. I like the SMART acronym: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals. This framework ensures that goals are clear, actionable, and aligned with the overall vision of your business. For example: A real estate agent might aim to close on 20 new property sales by the end of 2025. They could break this goal down into smaller targets, such as acquiring at least two new clients each month, hosting three open houses per month, and setting a specific revenue goal for each quarter.

2. Invest in Professional Development: Staying updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices will give you a competitive edge. For example: An educational consultant could attend an annual education conference to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the field. They might also enroll in an online course on college admissions counseling or educational technology to enhance their service offerings.

3. Build Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations: Forming mutually beneficial relationships with other businesses, influencers, or industry experts can help you expand your reach, access new resources, and drive combined growth. For example: An author might collaborate with other authors in their genre to co-host book signings, virtual events, or create joint marketing campaigns.
