When uncertainty lurks before us, pressures mount around us, and a sense of overwhelm simmers within us…

What if you experienced greater strength, stability, and sanity?

How would that change how you do your work or show up at home?

How would that impact your decisions you need to make?

Who would be most influenced personally, professionally?

What if you had more resilience?

[resilience]
a skill that can be developed to offer strength, stability, and sanity when recovering from difficulties in the already to leverage in the now and the not yet challenges.  -sandy anderson

Here's three micro reframes to boost your inner resilience, especially in the middle of challenges.

1] the already.
We have all had challenges in our past, the already.

The question is what have we learned from those experiences?  How have the past challenges equipped us for future challenges?  Possibly given us confidence that we can pass on to others in similar circumstances?

Have we taken time to unearth the insights or have we discarded, push forward leaving the learning undiscovered?

2]  the now.
You are likely experiencing some type of challenge today, the now.  I know I am.

We can get caught up with what is directly in front of us, using our energy to survive it or settle for this is how it is.

What if you focus on what you can control or change rather than what you cannot control or change?

I promise you it will offer a different way of being in the middle of the current challenge and impact what life looks like in the not yet AND how you feel about the now.

3] the not yet.
The unknown of tomorrow can emerge a feeling of anxiety.

Anxiety is a future focused emotion.  It's focus on what might happen.

What if there was a resource to help you walk in the future challenges with greater courage?

There is:  your challenges in the already can offer confidence and perspective that will equip you.

What if we invite curiosity?

-curiosity in the already.  When we invite being curious about the past challenge[s] it offers an opportunity to redefine a difficulty rather than be defined by it.

-curiosity in the now.  When we are curious about the challenge we're facing today, it can emerge a different mindset about the difficulty. This mind shift can help us open up solutions or next steps that might be shrouded by angst and frustration.

-curiosity in the not yet.  Curiosity changes how the emotions of worry and anxiety show up.  Rather than letting worry or anxiety take over, they can fuel us to prepare how and where we can.  When we are curious about how the lessons from the already challenges have equipped us, our focus can nudge from anxiety to anticipation.

Here's to a new framework that encourages rather than exhausts, especially as we move into a new year!  You can be free from settling and surviving.  And you don't have to do it alone.

Leveraging the already for the now and the not yet!
