Dear First name / Great Neighbor,
We have reached the halfway mark in our Annual Fund campaign and we are halfway to our goal of $100,000! Feels like a Hump Day! When I think about the ways in which International Neighbors is More than a Moment to our new neighbors, I am struck by the dozen or so families our team has met in just the last few weeks who are new to the United States and feeling disoriented with their new lives here. Yes, we provide information to help them find sustainable employment, register their children for school, and make health appointments. Yes, we take them to Earlysville Exchange to buy household items, pay for professional driving lessons, and offer in-home English tutoring. But the thing that seems to offer the most hope to newcomers in Charlottesville is just the presence of a person who cares enough to visit them and welcome them to America. This is what it means to be More than a Moment to our neighbors—to learn their incredible stories, appreciate their traditions, and help them acclimate to life here.
Will you help us get over the hump and finish our Annual Fund campaign by meeting our goal by December 31st? Join the more than 150 donors (and thank you if you are one of the 156!) who are helping us remain aligned with our mission in the year to come.
